“Acting For Theater”
One Day Workshop with Kirk Baltz
Sacramento…Sunday September 29th   10am-6pm
Hosted by Leah Finity and Jesse Janzen
The Wilkerson Theater
1723 25th Street
Sacramento, Ca. 95816
Limited to 18 participants.
Our upcoming one day workshop in The Wilkerson Theater is for actors who love theater and are looking to jump in the deep end to play while stretching mentally, physically and emotionally. A day of releasing, standing tall with clarity of intention and speaking out while on stage. The Wilkerson is a wonderful 5o seat house with a nice sized stage that will serve us well. All work will be Meisner and Method based…rooted in getting your character’s “need” met. Nothing is casual. Join us and re-up your game.
PLEASE READ AND BE FAMILIAR WITH THE ATTACHED MONOLOGUE AND BRING A PRINTED COPY TO CLASS. LIKE TO ASK THAT YOU ALL BE 75% OFF BOOK:

Nat stands in an examining room of a medical clinic, unable to believe what’s just been said.

What do you mean it’s come back?!? Last time I was here you told me it was gone. That I was virus free. How does it happen that you say it’s gone and then 6 months later it’s back?…you’re telling me that my liver is even more damaged now than it was before my treatment a year ago? What the fuck?!? I waited all this time for treatment because I was told my strand had only a 20% success rate of being cured. I sign all these release forms, you tell me it’s safe and the best new treatment for Hep C ever and I’m now worse off then when I originally came here?!? Now what!?! My stats were better before. I should have waited it out and done non medical treatment. I mean yeah it was a trial program but come on!!! I’m just a statistic for a big pharmaceutical company getting ready to launch a treatment program that costs 90K?!? How’s that gonna play out now?…How many more like me are there?!? You got this calm cool collected bedside manner with your ”I’m sorries” but you have actually moved me closer to liver disease rather than further away! Nicely done.

(He/she leaves.)
